Anyway, I’m gonna go ahead and take a bit of time off from beats. Nothing major at all. If anything, only a few weeks or so. I’ve been kinda forcing myself to create and that’s never a good thing. Nothing good ever comes out of forced art. And if you know me, I always say that I’d rather make one super, over-the-top crazy beat than 35 so-so ones.
I believe what happened here is that I started thinking about music instead of just doing it. I’ve tried the ol’ work-it-out-like-a-cramp-in-the-neck approach. Nada.
It’s my job to know what kind of creative space I’m in. Sometimes a step back is necessary in order to assess what’s going on.
